Flat-rate assessments are billed annually and are due on receipt. Water-use charges are billed following delivery. Balances not paid by the date printed on the statement accrue penalty and interest under the District’s collection policy.

How is my allocation calculated?

During a declared shortage, the Board allocates the District’s available Rio Grande supply in acre-inches per irrigable acre of record. Notices of allocation are posted at the office and published on this website.

My land is being platted for a subdivision. What do I need to do?

Submit the plat for District review before recording so irrigation easements and facilities are shown correctly, then file an exclusion petition if the tract will no longer be irrigated.

Can I build a fence, driveway or utility line across a District easement?

Not without written authorization. Submit an easement encroachment request so staff can confirm the work will not obstruct access to or operation of District facilities.

How do I request public information?

Submit a written request to the District office identifying the records sought. The District responds in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act.
